A Morocco trip from Trinidad and Tobago takes a little more homework than a hop to Miami, but the payoff is huge: the Sahara, the blue lanes of Chefchaouen and riads that feel like a private courtyard in the middle of the city. This guide walks you through the practical side in the order you will deal with it. Facts that change often are dated October 2026.

Step 1: Check your entry route first

As of October 2026, our research indicates that ordinary Trinidad and Tobago passports need a visa for Morocco, but this is one of the cases we flag as to be verified. Please do not rely on any blog, including ours, for the final word: confirm on acces-maroc.ma or with the nearest Moroccan embassy or consulate before you pay for flights.

The e-Visa, in plain terms

Morocco’s online e-Visa is single entry, allows up to 30 days and stays valid for 180 days after it is issued. Processing is roughly 24 hours (express) or 72 hours (standard), in Moroccan business days, and your passport needs at least 90 days of validity. Eligibility comes in three categories:

  • A: by nationality alone. Trinidad and Tobago is not on that list.
  • B: you reside in the EU, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Norway, New Zealand, the UAE or Switzerland, with a permit valid at least 180 more days.
  • C: you hold a non-electronic multiple-entry visa from the USA, UK, Schengen Area, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Japan, Norway or New Zealand, valid at least 90 more days.

Here is the T&T twist. Because your passport already gets you into the UK and much of Europe without a visa, many travellers simply have no UK or Schengen visa sticker to use for Category C. A valid US visa is the one most Trinbagonians actually hold, so that is usually the document to check. Our visa guide by nationality explains the rest.

Step 2: Choose your flight path

  • Via Miami or New York: Royal Air Maroc flies nonstop to Casablanca from Miami (about 8 hours) and JFK (about 7 hours). You will need a US visa to connect.
  • Via London: fly from Port of Spain to the UK, then take a short European flight to Marrakech. Handy if you want a few days in London first.
  • Via Toronto: another RAM nonstop to Casablanca, good for travellers with family in Canada.

Plan on 15 to 22 hours in total, depending on the layover. We compare all the options in how to get to Morocco.

Step 3: Budget and payment from T&T

Every price on our site is set in euros. TTD figures are approximations based on 18 October 2026 rates (about TT$7.64 to €1), so treat them as a guide. As an example, our 8-day private tour for two from Casablanca costs roughly TT$ 7,945 per person with standard accommodation, or about TT$7,950.

We take a deposit through PayPal, by PayPal account or debit/credit card, in EUR or USD. PayPal services for Trinidad and Tobago accounts can be limited, so check what your account allows. If anything blocks the payment, tell us and we will look at another option. The balance is paid on arrival, in cash or as agreed.

Step 4: Pick dates around Carnival and the calendar at home

Carnival Monday and Tuesday fall in February or early March, and in 2027 that overlaps with the expected start of Ramadan (about 8/9 February to 9/10 March, depending on the moon). Most Trinis will be home for Carnival anyway, which makes the weeks after Ash Wednesday a smart window: April and May bring spring flowers in the Atlas and comfortable desert nights.

  • Emancipation Day (1 August) and Independence Day (31 August): good for a long weekend, but the interior is fiercely hot in August.
  • Divali (October or November): October and November are lovely in Morocco, with the Imilchil and Tan-Tan moussems around that time of year.
  • Christmas: mild days, very cold desert nights.

Step 5: Sort time and power

Morocco is 5 hours ahead of Trinidad and Tobago for most of the year and 4 hours ahead during Ramadan, when Morocco switches to UTC+0. Sockets are type C/E at 220 V. Your type A/B plugs and 115 V devices need an adapter, and anything not rated 100–240 V needs a converter.

Step 6: Book the right tours for your Morocco trip from Trinidad and Tobago
